Transportation & Geomatics Research

Transportation & Geomatics Engineering focuses on understanding and improving the movement of people and goods through safe, efficient, and resilient transportation systems. Our work applies engineering, physical and computational sciences, and geospatial methods to plan, analyze, design, and operate multimodal networks (e.g., highways, transit, freight systems, and connected infrastructure). We also leverage modern sensing and data technologies, such as remote sensing, GIS, and emerging intelligent transportation tools, to support decision-making for operations, safety, sustainability, and infrastructure management. Through research, education, and partnerships, our group advances practical solutions that benefit FAU and the communities we serve.
