Foundational Studies

Florida Atlantic University’s School of Architecture offers Foundation Pre-Architecture courses in the Tech Runway Building on the Boca Raton campus. Students accepted into this Limited Access Program will be able to complete their general education along with their pre-architecture courses on one campus. These freshman and sophomore level courses typically take two years to complete , and are required for admission to the Professional Bachelor of Architecture program at FAU.

During their second year of the program, all students must apply for admission into the Professional Bachelor of Architecture program. After completion of all Foundation Architecture Program pre-requisites courses and acceptance into the Professional Bachelor of Architecture Program, students will complete all Professional Architecture program courses at the Downtown Fort Lauderdale campus. The Professional Bachelor of Architecture program typically takes three years to complete.

Dual Enrollment Option

The School of Architecture's Foundation Pre-Architecture courses on the Boca Raton campus have limited availability. Students who have not been accepted into the FAU Faundation Pre-Architecture program may consider Dual Enrollment at one of the local state colleges, then apply to transfer into the program during a subsequent application cycle.
