2019's in-person event

Daytime

Tables on the Breezeway from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. featuring writing-themed games and representatives from campus groups that support students and their writing. 

Evening

Reading by author Dantiel W. Moniz 6:00 p.m. in the Majestic Palm  room of the FAU  Student Union, Boca Raton campus. The undergraduate and graduate student winners of the  Arnold H. Kossoff "Pen to Paper" Essay Contest   will also read their winning essays.

Dantiel W. Moniz is a homegrown Floridian whose work has appeared in journals such as    Tin House ,  Ploughshares, McSweeney's Quarterly Concern,  and Joyland among others. She has received scholarships and residencies from Hedgebrook and the Elizabeth George Foundation, and was selected as the winner of the 2018 Alice Hoffman Prize for Fiction. Her debut story collection, MILK BLOOD HEAT, is forthcoming from Grove Atlantic.   

FAU Student Union Information

The Student Union is located on the east side of West University Drive. The main entrance from Glades Road onto West University Drive is the best route to take. Convenient parking is located in front of the Student Union in Lot 16. For over thirty years the Student Union has been the focus of activities programs services and facilities dedicated to enhancing our University community in an environment that embraces diversity.
