Assistant Professor of US Indigenous Studies and Early American Literature

The Department of English at Florida Atlantic University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2023. We invite applications from candidates with teaching and research interests in US Indigenous Studies and Colonial / Early American Literature. Special consideration may be given to candidates whose work speaks to or involves Environmental Studies and/or Digital Humanities. The hired candidate will teach on the Boca Raton campus. We seek a candidate who will balance high-quality scholarship, excellence in teaching, and committed service. Faculty typically teach a 3-2 course schedule. Associate Professor of Rhetoric & Composition, Director of Writing Across the Curriculum and University Center for Excellence in Writing, and Multilingual Student Support program

The Department of English is seeking to hire a full-time (12 month), tenured faculty position in Rhetoric and Composition at the level of Associate Professor. The position includes a 1/1 teaching assignment with classes ranging from first-year composition to upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in the field. In addition to teaching and research in the field of Rhetoric / Composition / Writing Studies in the Department of English (which is 50% of appointment), this faculty member will direct the University Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program, the writing center, and the multilingual student support program (each with supporting Assistant Directors) and report directly to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies (which is 50% of appointment). . . .
