PhD Student Conference and Research Travel Grants 2025-2026
Fall 2025
The Comparative Studies Program is pleased to offer conference and research grant opportunities to all current students in the program. This award will be made to an outstanding PhD student to support his or her presentation of a paper at a professional conference. Award must be used during the academic year, August 2025 to July 1, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
By the date of application, the applicant must be a student in good standing with a minimum of 3.7 GPA
Application Process
The deadline is October 15, 2025, the applicant must submit the following items via email with all documentation attached as PDFs to Gabby Denier (gdenier@fau.edu):
- Abstract of paper to be presented
- Acceptance letter from conference organizers
- Letter of support from professor or advisor
- A detailed description of expenses for the Conference and/or Research that you are participating in.
- Unofficial FAU transcript
Notification and Terms of the Award
- Applicants will be notified as soon as the decisions have been made, which will be no later than the end of the Fall 2025 semester.
- Successful applications must complete all FAU and Comparative Studies travel requirements as will be outlined following the notification of the award, including submitting travel receipts within 1 week of their travel, or they forfeit their grant.
- The award must be used during this academic year: August 2025 to July 1, 2026.
