Virtual Teaching
The Virtual Teaching page provides resources for teaching courses, participating in courses, and working with colleagues completely virtually.

In-Person Teaching
When teaching in-person, know the unique tools and features of each style of room we have available. For setting up seat reservations, please use the guide below.

Canvas
Instructors can use Canvas to create different types of online activities. Among them are uploaded homework submissions, tests/quizzes, and discussions.

Zoom
Zoom is a web-conferencing tool that can be used to enhance and expand classes with powerful collaboration tools, including video breakout rooms, multi-sharing, polling, and group chats.

WebEx
Everyone at FAU has access to WebEx, a live video-conferencing system. Your Canvas courses include an integration (Cisco WebEx) where your instructors can schedule virtual sessions for situations where they need to teach remotely.

Office 365
Office 365 includes the latest version of Word, Excel, Lync, PowerPoint, OneNote, Publisher and more.

Microsoft Teams
Anyone with an "@fau.edu" account has access to the online collaboration tool, Microsoft Teams, along with Microsoft's suite of Office 365 applications.

Virtual Apps
Students, faculty, and staff can get secure instant access 24/7, on-demand, to a library of popular software from any device, including smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs anywhere in the world with an Internet connection.

Tracking Attendance
Keeping track of students' digital attendance is available on Zoom, Webex and Mediasite. Use the guides below to learn more.

AutoDesk
Autodesk is providing open access to more than 100 products – available to students, educators, and institutions globally. Includes AutoCAD, Maya, 3DS Max, Revit, and more.

Adobe Scan
The free Adobe Scan mobile app works on your mobile device, scans documents into PDFs, and automatically recognizes text. Available on both Android and iOS stores.

Microsoft Lens
Office Lens trims, enhances, and makes pictures of whiteboards and docs readable. You can use Office Lens to convert images to PDF, Word and PowerPoint files, and you can even save images to OneNote or OneDrive. Available on both Android and iOS stores.

Classroom Capabilities
Download the excel file listing all the classrooms and their distant learning capabilities.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)
The FAU VPN service allows approved faculty and staff to access certain secure on-campus resources.

Remote Desktop
Allow technicians to gain remote control access to your computer and assist you with any issues that you are experiencing.

Phone and Voicemail
Forward your work number and check voicemail.
