FAUNet ID

Your FAUNet ID is unique identifier assigned to you by Florida Atlantic University. It is part of your official FAU email address (e.g., FAUNetID@fau.edu or FAUNetID@health.fau.edu). You will use your full FAU email address to sign in to most FAU services like Canvas, MYFAU, Workday, and other university systems.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Florida Atlantic University requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all students, faculty, and staff accessing university systems. MFA adds a second layer of security to your FAU account by requiring a secondary method of verification—such as a mobile device or hardware token—in addition to your password.

The goal of MFA is to create a layered defense and make it more difficult for an unauthorized person to access your information. MFA adds a step to the login process and requires you to prove your identity after entering a username and password by responding to a prompt.

Email at FAU

We provide your official University email through the reliable Microsoft Outlook platform. The fastest way to check your inbox is by clicking the dedicated button within the MYFAU Portal. Your login for email, just like for all other University services, is your FAUNet ID and password.
