Prizes: Prize money will be awarded to the winning teams.
Precision medicine aims to advance individualized healthcare by leveraging large-scale biomedical and patient datasets. The All of Us Research Program, led by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), provides access to one of the most comprehensive and diverse health datasets available for research.
This hackathon challenges participants to explore the All of Us dataset and design innovative engineering solutions to real-world healthcare data challenges, contributing to the advancement of personalized medicine.
This hackathon is open to all FAU students.
Format
- Teams: 3–5 students.
- Goal: Identify and solve a data or computational challenge within the All of Us dataset.
- Deliverables: A working prototype, simulation, or system design architecture, along with a 5-minute presentation.
- Approach: Teams may build with open-source frameworks, extend existing models, or develop novel agent workflows and multi-agent systems.
Pre-Hackathon Workshops
We will host the following virtual workshops to help participants prepare:
- Dates & Time
All workshops will be held via Zoom from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on:March 6,March 20 and March 27 -
March 6 – Kickoff Workshop
Speakers: Dr. Michael DeGiorgio – Components of Precision Medicine
Vishnu Chinta – Navigating the All of Us Data Resource

Evaluation Criteria
Teams will be judged on:
- Insights – What did we learn about the problem and solution?
- Alignment – How aligned is the solution with the goals of personalized healthcare?
- Impact – How broad is the impact of the proposed solution?
- Usability – Is the solution easy to use and adopt?
- Generalizability and Scalability – Can the tool be used for different AI systems and at scale?
