BA Theatre: Theatre Studies

Florida Atlantic University’s Theatre Studies concentration is specifically tailored to support students who want to explore theatre as one part of a broader academic journey. The program is designed with flexibility at its core, making it an ideal choice for dual majors or those seeking to combine theatre with other disciplines within the liberal arts. With a streamlined curriculum focused on theatre history, literature, and foundational aspects of performance and production, the Theatre Studies track reduces credit barriers that often complicate double majoring, allowing students to pursue two passions without exceeding graduation requirements.

Opportunities to learn and grow

In addition to our faculty, our students are introduced to a  variety of guest theatre artists who are actively working in the field year-round. Whether in the classroom or in production, our students get to share their work and get one-on-one feedback from these professionals.

Students are also encouraged to take their networking opportunities to the next level by attending our South Florida regional theatre scene events, where they can enjoy top-tier production value work and connect with future colleagues.
