Theatre Undergraduate
BFA in Performance
Our BFA in Performance offers an integral, creative, and inclusive space for students of all backgrounds looking to pursue a career in acting and theatre performance. During our four year curriculum our students are trained in a variety of acting techniques and disciplines, and are given opportunities to connect with professional theatre artists in their field, as well as perform in our departmental season, Summer Rep productions, and our professional resident theatre company productions.
Students are expected to make continued progress in their development as actors and artists. Retention is earned by the faculty’s evaluation of the student’s work, commitment, progress and personal growth.
This program requires an audition for admittance. More information on this is available at BFA Program Auditions and Interviews.

Opportunities to learn and grow
In addition to our faculty, our Acting students are introduced to a variety of guest theatre artists and directors who are actively working in the field year-round. Whether in the classroom or in production, our students get to share their work and get one-on-one feedback from these professionals.
Students are also encouraged to take their networking opportunities to the next level by attending our South Florida regional theatre scene events, where they can enjoy top-tier production value work and connect with future colleagues.
