Theatre Undergraduate
BA Theatre: General Studies
This program does not require an audition or interview.
Our BA Theatre offers a broad exposure to theatre and drama for students of all backgrounds seeking a creative space for their undergraduate experience. During our four year curriculum, students experience training in various acting techniques and disciplines, in-depth dramatic study classes, as well as technical theatre skills and tools. Our department offers a variety of theatrical productions year-round where our students can get performance experience on stage, and hands-on experience backstage.
In the liberal arts tradition, the FAU Bachelor of Arts in Theatre curriculum provides students with a broad range of valuable skills.
Through voice, movement, and dance classes, students learn to control their voice’s pitch, projection, breathing, and articulation. Their dance and movement classes teach them to become poised, self-assured, natural, and expressive onstage.

Opportunities to learn and grow
In addition to our faculty, our students are introduced to a variety of guest theatre artists who are actively working in the field year-round. Whether in the classroom or in production, our students get to share their work and get one-on-one feedback from these professionals.
Students are also encouraged to take their networking opportunities to the next level by attending our South Florida regional theatre scene events, where they can enjoy top-tier production value work and connect with future colleagues.
