About Nadya Timofeyeva Nadya is a graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow (Russia). She began her professional career as a soloist with the Kremlin Ballet. After immigrating to Israel in 1991 with her mother, Bolshoi Ballet dancer Nina Timofeyeva, she became a leading figure in Israeli ballet as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and company director. Nadya co-founded the Jerusalem Ballet School and later established the Jerusalem Ballet Company, serving as principal soloist until 2012. Her choreography includes works inspired by Dante, Lord Byron, Hans Christian Andersen, and others. She received the Yuri Stern Prize in 2014 for her cultural contributions. Nadya's work was featured in the 2019 documentary Underground Ballet.
