Aidan Nettles is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Florida Atlantic University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Dance from The University of Alabama and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) with Distinction from The University of Roehampton, London, UK.

With a comprehensive background in ballet, contemporary, and jazz, Professor Nettles imparts her knowledge to a diverse range of students, spanning from young children to budding university artists and scholars at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Throughout her career, she has choreographed and scored competitive programs and television performances, establishing a distinguished presence in dance.

Aidan Nettles is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. Her research focuses on exploring the multidimensionality of Black womanhood in dance, seeking to deepen the representation of the complex lineage and narratives of the Black female through choreography and scholarship. Her extensive contributions to the arts have been acknowledged both on national and international platforms, leading to numerous accolades that recognize her exceptional performance, choreographic expertise, and scholarly contributions.
