2026 CREATE Teen Pathways (Cultivating Resilient and Experienced Artists through Training and Education)
Teens - Are you seriously considering a career in the arts? Florida Atlantic University wants to nurture creativity in Broward County, specifically revealing pathways and careers in the arts for rising high school juniors. Do you want to learn more and be a part of CREATE ? Whether you want to finish high school and start working immediately or want to go to college to study deeper, CREATE is a great introduction to your future!
FAU is teaming up with South Florida cultural professionals to open your eyes to a lifetime of creativity and enjoyment while earning a living. CREATE is a FREE program designed to prepare students for entry into the workforce and/or college.
Students - You need to learn of your options while honing your skills and talents in high school. CREATE provides you with many opportunities to learn about jobs in the fine arts. This two-year program is looking for students who are interested in careers in music, theater, or visual arts.
CREATE is a competitive program (only 25 students will be selected) offered to rising juniors from the following public high schools:
- Blanche Ely
- Boyd H Anderson
- Coconut Creek
- Ft. Lauderdale
- McArthur
- Plantation
- Pompano Beach
CREATE is completely FREE and includes transportation to/from your home, field trips, and lunches. The program involves a week-long summer camp and monthly workshops during the school year. Come and learn from FAU faculty and professionals in the field. The program includes site visits, behind the scenes tours, mentoring, shadowing, portfolio and resume building, interview coaching, and so much more.
Inform your parents/guardians of this fantastic opportunity! They need to know that you can be happy and successful with a career in the arts. The deadline to submit is April 12, 2026. Students will be notified by May 4, 2026.
