Stream Video Conversion and Metadata Tagging
Overview
Our project is a solution to help Discovery Inc., with S3 storage issues as a result of the vast number of .ts format streamed sports recordings they acquired in a recent merger. In addition, the metadata for these videos was lost, so our sponsor has no way of identifying files. Our solution was to create a cloud-based architecture where we convert the .ts files to .mp4 that will minimize the size and allow for FER (Full Event Replay). We also created a machine learning system that will analyze each video and automatically tag metadata for the videos. Lastly, we are providing our sponsor with a dashboard to be able to watch the videos once they are converted.
Community Benefit
With many companies switching to online browsing and livestreaming, our solution can help automate a big portion of their workload in metadata tagging and/or video conversion services.
