Karen Slattery Research Facility and School (Ever Atlantic Engineering)

Overview

The Ever Atlantic Engineering Team proposes a reconstruction of the Karen Slattery Educational Research Center for Childhood Development. The design enables the building to serve up to 100 students, ranging from birth to toddlers as old as five. The project aims to achieve a gold-level LEED certification while also incorporating the theme of “Everglades to Oceans”. The design focuses on curricular excellence, extracurricular and aftercare enrichment, diverse play areas for preschoolers, low student/teacher ratios, global community, entrepreneurship, scientific discovery, and technological support.

Community Benefit:  The goal is to deliver a safe environment that promotes high-tech learning and research opportunities for young children, while also promoting green and sustainable engineering.
