Monarch Hill Landfill Waste Transfer Station

Team: EcoFlux Engineering

Client:  Broward County

Abstract
The Monarch Hill landfill in Pompano Beach, Florida operated by Waste Management of Broward County was opened in 1965 and accepts roughly 1.2 million tons of waste per year. However, the Monarch Hill landfill is close to reaching maximum capacity and will be halting operations in the future. EcoFlux Engineering is tasked with designing a waste transfer station and intermodal station to re-route the waste from Monarch Hill landfill to the Okeechobee landfill. Community Benefit: EcoFlux engineers provide sustainable systems and efficient logistics to reroute waste for a cleaner environment.
