Indoor Surveying Robot

Sponsored by: National Security Innovation Network (NSIN)

Abstract
The Indoor Surveying Robot is designed for first responders and is used for reconnaissance of indoor situations by traversing and clearing indoor areas. Using an ultrasonic and lidar sensor, the robot is able to move around indoors without colliding into obstacles while surveying. The robot maintains a low-profile and is able to retrieve important information to help defuse certain situations. Community Benefit: First responders can use this robot in a dense urban environment to gain information about the space they are about to enter.
