Graphic Design Internships

Undergraduate Graphic Design students are encouraged to seek internships to build their resume with professional experience. Students may receive credit for internships (paid or unpaid). Internships must be overseen by an educated professional Graphic Designer who provides mentorship and training. The position will not qualify as an internship if there is no professional design supervisor on staff. The student may choose to take the position as a paid job without receiving credit.

All internships must be submitted for approval prior to the first week of class. Internship credit cannot be awarded retroactively. Potential employers should submit the internship registration form below. During finals week, the student supervisor must submit the evaluation form below for the student to receive credit. Along with the submission of the supervisor's evaluation, students are asked to submit a log that documents their weekly tasks and a 1-page summary of experiential learning. This log should be emailed to art@fau.edu at the conclusion of the internship. A negative evaluation may compromise the ability to receive a passing grade.

3 hours internship per week = 1 credit for a total of 45 Hours
6 hours internship per week = 2 credits for a total of 90Hours
9 hours internship per week = 3 credits for a total of 135 Hours
