About the Department

The Department of Political Science offers undergraduate and graduate courses that contribute to the understanding of American politics, comparative politics, and international relations. The Department embraces the epistemology of social science research and helps students develop skills important to this field, and many others, including written and oral communication and critical thinking.

The Department offers a B.A. in political science which provides a flexible curriculum that allows students to design a program of study tailored to their academic, professional and personal interests. Our M.A. program provides a strong foundation for the study of political science with faculty and courses that expose students to the breath of the discipline.

The Department offers several opportunities for students to explore their interests including our national winning  Leon Charney Diplomacy Program, Advanced Campaigning Program, internships and a honors curriculum.
