Undergraduate Electric Bass Audition Requirements
The following audition pieces are required for Commercial Music or Bachelor of Arts in Music.*
- One prepared piece (Latin, swing, ballad, rock, pop, etc.).
- Scales in all 12 keys:
- Major
- Minor (Dorian and Aeolian)
- Blues scale
- 12 Bar Blues in any key (bassline only)
- Reading
- Consistent melody by itself at any tempo
- Walking bass line over simple chord changes
- Sightreading

guitar majors.
