Day of percussion - December 9, 2023
Join Prof. Matthew Nichols and members of the FAU percussion studio for a day of percussion excellence!
Middle and high school students of all experience levels are welcome, but a basic understanding of technique and music reading will make it a more fulfilling experience.
Thanks to all those who helped make the 2022 Day of Percussion a complete success! The details of this year's event are below:
Day of Percussion - December, 9 2023
Held in the Arts and Letters building, Room 260. A Google Drive Link containing information and music can be found HERE.
- 9:30 am - Check-in
- 10:00 am - Clinic 1 - "Snare: Marching (Rudimental) vs Concert and Benefits of BOTH"
- 11:00 am - Break
- 11:15 am - Clinic 2 - "Timpani - Success beyond 'Target Practice' "
- 12:15 pm - Lunch (pizza provided, or bring your own)
- 12:30 pm - Clinic 3 - "Drumset: Practice Strategies to Improve Quicker!"
- 1:30 pm - Percussion Ensemble Rehearsal (music found on Drive link above)
- 3:15 pm - Break
- 3:30 pm - Parent Performance
- 4:00 pm - Day ends, parent sign-out
