Undergraduate Classical Guitar Audition Requirements
The audition requires two pieces of contrasting style/period, and will include a sight reading exercise. The level of pieces chosen should reflect the program you intend to enter and the level: whether freshman, junior transfer, or graduate; whether performance or commercial music. *Please note that classical guitar majors may not enroll in the Bachelor of Music Education. Students who perform as vocalists or instrumentalists are encouraged to audition in those areas if they wish to pursue the Bachelor of Music Education, which is designed for band, orchestral, or choral public school teaching.
