Alpha Phi Sigma

Florida Atlantic University now has a chapter of  Alpha Phi Sigma, the national honorary society for criminal justice. Membership in Alpha Phi Sigma requires the completion of at least forty credits, with at minimum of four criminal justice courses. An overall GPA of 3.0 and a 3.25 GPA in criminal justice courses taken is also required. Membership provides recognition of scholastic achievement, creates opportunities for service to the community and the criminal justice profession and frequently enhances opportunity for future employment by including membership information on a resume. Alpha Phi Sigma also holds an annual convention and job fair in conjunction with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS), which is open to all active members.
