Please review the following information to assist you with the online application:

  • The only way to apply to one of our graduate programs (masters, specialist or doctoral) is to apply online.  The application should take approximately 15-20 minutes.
  • Supported Web Browsers include: Firefox (latest), Chrome (latest), Safari 4/5IE 8 x32/x64IE 9 x32/x64
  • You MUST check individual  program deadlines and requirements .  If you apply after the deadline date, your application will be processed for the next appropriate semester.
  • Some programs require a supplemental application, interviews, personal statements, or other materials not included in the general online graduate admission application. Please contact your  graduate program directly for additional requirements.
  • Your application will not be forwarded to the graduate program for consideration until the application fee is paid. The $30 fee must be paid within 30 business days or your application will be automatically deleted from the database.

Please note: GRE or GMAT may be required by some programs - check for temporary program waiver.

Domestic Degree Seeking Student

  • A student who plans to earn a graduate degree

Domestic Non-Degree Seeking Student

  • A student who plans to take courses to complete a job related responsibility or for personal enrichment, etc.
  • Not eligible to receive financial aid
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident alien holding a green card

Combined FAU Undergraduate/Graduate Degree Seeking Student

  • Combined bachelor’s to master’s degrees allow current FAU undergraduates to take graduate courses in their senior year that count towards a master’s degree.
  • All combined baccalaureate/master’s degree programs offered at the University require a minimum of 150 credits, comprised of a minimum of 120 credits for the baccalaureate degree and a minimum of 30 credits for the master’s degree. All 30 of the master’s degree program credits must be at the graduate level (5000 level or above). A maximum of 12 credits of graduate coursework may be used to satisfy both degrees. The baccalaureate degree will be conferred before the master’s degree. Please see the Combined Degree Programs section for a list of combined degree programs and the individual combined degree program information. 
  • Student Eligibility
    • Must be currently enrolled in an FAU bachelor's degree program and have junior or senior status.
    • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher (some programs may have higher GPA requirements).
    • Must meet all other admissions criteria for the graduate degree program.
    • Must speak to assigned academic advisor to determine if a combined degree program is an option for you.
    • Complete the graduate application. See below for details.
