Your First Year application for admission to Florida Atlantic University is a combined application that includes merit-based scholarships.
Applications, including all supporting materials and test scores, must be received by the dates below for consideration.
Summer & Fall 2021 applicants:
While FAU is required to have an ACT/SAT score to make an admissions decision, we will continue to accept applications and make admissions decisions once a student can submit their score, and re-evaluate as new academic information is added to student files.
We know access to the ACT/SAT tests have been limited in some communities, many testing centers have cancelled their hosting of the exam, and for some students sitting in a testing environment poses a health risk. Recognizing this, we have changed the Dec. 1 priority date for scholarship consideration to January 30. All students who submit an application, test scores and the Self-reported Student Academic Record (SSAR) by January 30 will be considered for admission and merit scholarships.
FAFSA completion is also encouraged to be considered for additional aid.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, therefore students are advised to apply early for full consideration for admission and for scholarships. Decisions are issued approximately 4 weeks from the time all application materials are submitted and the application is considered complete. Based on the competitiveness of the applicant pool, an applicant may be offered admission to a term other than the requested entry term on the application.
Please keep in mind that when requesting electronic transcripts from other institutions, it may take 5-7 business days for FAU to receive the requested items.
