minor concentration in child and family studies
Advising Board: Dr. Shaina Rowell and Dr. Jacqueline Fewkes
The Child and Family Studies Minor encourages interdisciplinary thinking about issues relevant
to childhood and family structures. By taking classes across a broad set of disciplines, students
will learn to consider these issues from the level of the individual, family, community, and
society. This minor will allow students to demonstrate topical specialization to support future
work in a variety of professional fields, particularly those involving human development, social
support, law, education, and healthcare.
