Plan of Study

All degree-seeking graduate students should have an approved plan of study on file with the Graduate College no later than half-way through their required course work and before enrolling in thesis/dissertation credits, if applicable. Students must have an approved Plan of Study on file with the Graduate College prior to the term in which they intend to graduate. All students receive email confirmation when their Plan of Study is approved by the Graduate College.

Starting Fall 2025, the Graduate College began a phased transition to EdVision, a new degree-tracking and planning platform for graduate students. Students who have already been onboarded onto the current MyPOS platform will still have access through MyFAU to submit new plans of study or revisions until all students are phased out from this platform.

For students who have been newly admitted to their graduate programs in Fall 2025 or after , refer to the graph below to determine which platform to use (MYPOS or EdVision) depending on your college and admission term:

Phase 1 (Started Fall 2025)

Colleges:

Newly admitted students in Fall 2025 and after, use EdVision
Admitted before Fall 2025, you may use MyPOS

Phase 2 (Starting Spring 2026)

Colleges:
- Engineering
- Medicine (MS Biomed)

Admitted before Spring 2026, you may use MyPOS

Phase 3 (Start Summer 2026)

INFORMATION AND ACCESS TO MYPOS (CURRENT PLATFORM)

Graduate students will submit their Plans of Study electronically using a system called MyPOS.

To access MyPOS (after successful completion of the first semester):

Log in to your MyFAU account at myfau.fau.edu
In the lower-left corner of the page, click “Academic Success.”
Scroll down to “Graduate Student Resources” and select “MyPOS.”
Follow the prompts.

PLAN OF STUDY FOR GRADUATE ASSISTANTS RECEIVING TUITION BENEFITS

Note for graduate students receiving tuition benefits (eligible GAs, GRAs, and GTAs): An approved plan of study is required to receive tuition benefits beyond the second semester of the assistantship. Students receiving tuition benefits as part of an assistantship are required to file a plan of study and obtain final approval from the Graduate College by the end of the second semester of the assistantship.
