Overview
Spotting and ceasing video streaming piracy can be a complex and time-consuming process, and near-impossible to do by hand. Machine Learning Piracy Detection attempts to make this scrutinization as simple and autonomous as possible, using high-end data analytics.
Our solution to this massive problem was simple: create code that can parse through the Content Delivery Network (CDN) data and check for the appropriate attributes to give a clear yes or no on whether a user’s behavior is questionable, as well as produce an accuracy. This tool is also beneficial to corporations who have little to no knowledge on artificial intelligence, because we created a dashboard to interact with the program that is user-friendly. Your entire data log will be available at a touch of a button and the malicious users will be clearly identified.

Video streaming piracy is a billion-dollar industry, and it not only affects our sponsor’s company Warner Bros. Discovery in millions of dollars in loses, but also breaks the law in multiple countries and involves unsuspecting citizens by having them pay for stolen content, thinking that it is a property of the website they have purchased it from.
