Social Network Analysis of Complex Connectivity Tool (SNACC)

Sponsored by: Intelligence Corps, US Army

Abstract
Social networks have become a potent tool for human interaction. They can maintain internal cultures between users and produce cultural phenomena which influence wider popular culture through the actions of users in that network. The Social Network Analysis of Complex Connectivity Tool (SNACC) is a predictive tool which identifies highly popular/viral social media posts before they have achieved popularity. The tool also maps viral trend networks to identify a trend’s participants and track a trend’s rate of spread and overall virality. Community Benefit: By identifying and neutralizing harmful, false ideas before they achieve mass virality, a safer, more informed population can be better insulated from external threats.
