Javad Hashemi

Welcome to the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Florida Atlantic University. We offer a Bachelor of Science degree with specialized tracks in Bio Robotics, Biomedical Devices and Smart Health, and Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials, as well as graduate opportunities that allow students to advance in these areas or pursue Neuroscience and Engineering, Bio-imaging and Bio-informatics. Our programs combine a strong engineering foundation with hands-on learning, research engagement, and access to state-of-the-art laboratories, including advanced robotics, a biomedical engineering lab, and clean room facilities. Supported by nationally funded research and industry partnerships, we provide a comprehensive education that integrates innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, internships, and entrepreneurship, preparing students to lead in the rapidly evolving field of biomedical engineering.
