Alisa Cohen
Alisa Cohen is an accomplished artist, medical illustrator, healthcare executive, designer, educator, actress, Broadway producer, and philanthropist whose diverse interests are united by creativity, service, and giving back. A graduate of the University of Florida, she earned her degree in health sciences education, graduating first in her class, summa cum laude, and Phi Beta Kappa. She later combined art and science through a career in medical illustration and healthcare, including serving as executive director of the Cohen Laser & Vision Center, which she and her husband, ophthalmologist Dr. G. Richard Cohen, established in Boca Raton.
A longtime advocate for the arts, education, healthcare, and community, Alisa serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board of FAU’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters. She is an inductee of the University of Florida’s Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame and has served as a longtime board member of Habitat for Humanity and a Foundation member of Boca Raton Regional Hospital. A devoted philanthropist, Alisa is guided by the principle of tikkun olam—leaving the world better than she found it.
