RideShare Tips

Planning to use a rideshare service is a great harm reduction technique! Consider using a rideshare or designated sober driver. If you choose to use a rideshare, utilize the SAMI Method: Stop and review safety features Ask - “What’s my name” - confirm the driver name is also the same as listed in the app Match the license plate and display Inform - share details of the ride with a friend or family member When utilizing rideshare services, be smart and stay safe. Report any safety issues and concerns, use your intuition, and use the buddy system. If you are interested in more harm reduction strategies, contact Owls Care Health Promotion at wellness@fau.edu or follow our Instagram @fauowlscare
