    Explore 19th-century racial justice with Dr. Stephen D. Engle's captivating discussion on John Albion Andrew's lasting impact. Join us on April 10, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, at the Weiner Suite in S.E. Wimberly Library. Dr. Engle, renowned author and historian, will delve into Andrew's role in history, including leading the Glorious 54th Regiment during the Civil War. The FAU Center for Global Engagement invites you to celebrate Fulbright Awareness Week! Join us via Zoom for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program kickoff event for the 2025-2026 application cycle. This event will review the FAU process and campus deadline, student support, award types, program goals, eligibility requirements, and how you can apply. We will also meet several Fulbright Alumni Ambassadors!

Student Publication Recognition Ceremony

Wednesday, April 10 at 11:00 a.m.

The 2024 Student Publication Ceremony will be showcasing published student work in Summer 2023, Fall 2023, & Spring 2024. Various genres and multiple submissions from Undergraduate & Graduate students are welcome.
The Recognition Ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. (doors open at 10:30) on Wednesday, April 10 in the Majestic Palm Room of the Student Union.

Florida Atlantic Science Fest

Friday, April 12, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Science Fest is organized by the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science at Florida Atlantic to celebrate the diversity of our scientific disciplines and the variety of contributions from our current faculty and students, inspire the next generation of scientific problem solvers, and foster partnerships between the university, scientific organizations, and local communities to promote the science disciplines and the ideals of mutual respect and inclusion.

All are welcome to enjoy science-related exhibitions, student poster competition, interactive games, activities, and networking opportunities to connect with each other. The student poster competition award is generously sponsored by the Dr. Eric Shaw Excellence in Science Undergraduate Research Award to create a platform and opportunity for students in the Schmidt College of Science to participate in the communication of scientific research to their peer groups, faculty and community members.

SCAVENGER HUNT PRIZES: Join our interactive scavenger hunt to learn unique facts about the sciences and win prizes.

Owls Care is hiring for the 2024-2025 Academic Year!

Undergraduate Positions- $13/hr

  • Undergraduate Owls Care Leader: Wellness Track has a focus on wellness covering topics from substance safety and mental wellness to healthy lifestyles and more.
  • Undergraduate Owls Care Leaders: WRCC Track work out of the Women's Resource and Community Connection and focus on sexual health and empowering students to achieve their full potential.
  • Jupiter Undergraduate Owls Care Leaders combine the Wellness and WRCC track to educate students on the Honors College on wellness topics and empower them to reach their full potential
    • Undergraduates must have at least 1 year of experience on a college campus, a 2.75 cumulative GPA, and be able to commit to at least 5 hours per week.

Graduate Positions- $15/hr

  • Graduate Student Worker: Health Promotion. Graduate Student Workers have the opportunity to focus on the following content areas:
    • Interpersonal Violence Prevention
    • Emotional & Mental Wellness
    • Substance Safety (Alcohol and Other Drugs)
    • Healthy Lifestyles (cold & flu, sleep, nutrition, etc)
    • Sexual Health
      • Graduates must have a 3.0 GPA and be a full-time student
