HAZING PREVENTION SUMMIT

University Libraries Hours Extended Starting October 2
Starts Oct. 2
University Libraries are extending the operating hours for the fall semester. Starting on Monday, October 2, S.E. Wimberly Library will be open from 7:45 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Jupiter Campus Library will be open until 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday. Our online services and resources are always available, even when the library is closed. Please visit our Lib2Go page to access all our online resources and services.

Graduate College Open House

The Graduate College is hosting its annual Open House on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on the Boca Raton Campus, Student Union (UN-31), Grand Palm Room. This event will feature all of the graduate program representative from all academic colleges, departments, faculty, administration, staff. All attendees will have the opportunity to explore 100+ nationally ranked Master's, Specialist, and Doctoral programs with flexible options for evening, weekend, and online courses.

- You’ll notice right off the bat it says $50 ticket – this is okay. Every other general public ticket to this game is $50 - the student z # gets used as a discount code and will apply a $45 discount. Z #s can only be used once.
- This is a new account through USF, separate from how students receive tickets for FAU home events.

- Click Confirm Your Access
- Enter your Znumber (only the number portion - don't include the "z")
- Add 1 ticket to the cart (it won’t let you add more)

Make sure your voter registration is up to date. As a college student, you can register to vote using either your home address or your residential hall address. New Exhibit at the Library! Documents of Democracy: Finding a New Nation
Tuesday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Open from now until Oct. 19
Interested in history? Want to celebrate Constitution Day? Stop by the Documents of Democracy: Finding a New Nation exhibit on the fifth floor of Wimberly Library, courtesy of Weiner Spirit of America Collection. All of the Weiner collection highlights are on display: the Declaration of Independence, one of the seven 1776 copies of Thomas Paine's Common Sense, Articles of Confederation, first edition, and first printing of Federalist Papers. The exhibit is open Tuesday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and available until October 19.
2023‒2024 Technology Fee Proposals
Final Submissions due Monday, October 23, 2023
The University Technology Fee Proposal Site opened for submissions on September 25, 2023. All FAU constituents (i.e., students, student organizations, faculty, Colleges, Departments, Partner Campuses, administrative staff and departments, as well as the Office of Information Technology) may apply for revenues generated from the Technology Fee through the Request for Proposals (RFP) process, which includes a comprehensive review of each submission by the Technology Fee Oversight Committee. In general, proposals should be in support of instruction. Full guidance on what may qualify for an award can be found at “https://www.fau.edu/techfee/guidingprinciple.php”.

Important Dates:

Drug Free Campus Notice
FAU is committed to providing a campus environment free from alcohol abuse and the illegal use of alcohol and other drugs. FAU has adopted and implemented programs that seek to prevent the illicit use of drugs and alcohol abuse by university community members.
FAU distributes a semesterly notification to all students, faculty and staff on the policies related to alcohol, other drugs and weapons. It can he found here. This notification contains important and helpful information on the health risks associated with the use of illicit drugs and alcohol abuse, as well as contact information to get help.

Parking will be allowed on the first floor only until the end of the fall semester.
Parking Garage II (#88) on the Boca Raton campus will be closed for construction and renovation starting Friday, Sept. 1 at 6 a.m. It is scheduled to re-open Friday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m.
