The Quantum Computing Initiative (QCI) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), College of Engineering and Computer Science is a multidisciplinary research and education hub dedicated to pioneering breakthroughs in quantum technologies and preparing the next generation of leaders in this transformative field.

As the world stands on the brink of the quantum revolution, the QCI serves as a catalyst for scientific discovery, technological innovation, and workforce development, addressing pressing challenges in quantum computing, quantum machine learning, quantum security, quantum communications, and quantum information science.

With a strong foundation in hybrid quantum-classical algorithms, quantum variational circuits, distributed quantum computing, and post-quantum cryptography. FAU’s quantum research team is collaborating with global technology leaders—including IBM Quantum—to accelerate advancements that will shape the future of computing, cybersecurity, and data-driven innovation.
