Prudently led by the director of MLab Dr Hari Kalva, the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CoECS) hosted the 2025 NSF CSR Principal Investigator Meeting. The 2025 National Science Foundation (NSF) Principal Investigator (PI) Meeting of the Computer Systems Research (CSR) Program was held between September 18 - 19, 2025, under the Division of Computer and Network Systems (CNS) within the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE). The meeting unites researchers funded by the NSF CSR program to discuss their work and findings. It serves as a forum to present their latest technical discoveries, share viewpoints and develop new research partnerships.
Over the course of two days, researchers introduced exciting new perspectives by way of presentations and posters. In excess of 40 presentations were introduced along with more than 117 posters being displayed to communicate ideas in an interactive way. In addition to formal presentations, 6 breakout sessions were conducted covering a range of subjects such as Quantum Computing, Autonomous Systems and Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) among others. A complete list of all the sessions, agenda, panelists and key-note speakers can be found at: https://nsfcsr2025.hpc.fau.edu/
A special note of thanks to all the student volunteers and staff at CoECS who made this event a success. We look forward to the ideas and interactions this meeting will inspire. Here is a glimpse of the event:
