Juan Merlos Presents at DCC 2025

Ph.D. Candidate Juan Merlos presented his work this year at the Data Compression Conference (DCC) in Snowbird, Utah. DCC is a prestigious and selective conference for multimedia compression, ranking A* in conference rankings. Juan's work was part of his internship last year at InterDigital, an R&D company leading in wireless and video technologies. As an improvement to the Feature Coding for Machines (FCM) standard, an emerging MPEG standard for AI communication, his work was eventually adopted into FCM. We're proud to have Juan representing our lab at DCC!
