IEEE SoutheastCon 2025, themed "Industry and Academia in Partnership," convened from March 27-30 at the Embassy Suites in Concord (Charlotte), North Carolina. This premier IEEE Region 3 conference united professionals, academics, and students in electrical and computer engineering to exchange knowledge through technical sessions, tutorials, and exhibits.
Hadise Pishdast, a PhD student and researcher had the enriching experience of representing MLab during the exhibition and networking sessions. At her booth, she connected with an incredible range of undergraduate and graduate students—many of whom were seeking research opportunities, scholarships, and guidance for graduate studies.
"One of the most valuable moments was joining Dr. Rajendran for the IEEE Region 3 Council meeting, where I engaged with organizers and representatives from universities and sections across South Florida. These interactions not only allowed me to expand our lab’s visibility but also fostered meaningful connections with key academic and industry leaders. The overall atmosphere was energetic, collaborative, and deeply inspiring." she quotes.
