A group of researchers from the Multimedia Lab showcased their flagship projects at the eMerge Americas 2025 technology conference held in Miami Beach, Florida. The aim of the showcase was to communicate premier research projects developed by FAU to general audience and tech enthusiasts alike.

MLAB's infamous robotic dogs were at the forefront of the demonstrations, following visitors, utilizing its object detection and object tracking capabilities. The dogs were programmed by Ashan Perera to not only follow visitors but speak about their apparent characteristics leaving the guests in awe.

In addition, an interactive Mixed Reality (MR) experience leveraging Meta Quest put forth by Vineeth Geetesh Kate attracted a large number of enthusiasts. FAU's projects, promotional items and informational content were overlayed on the reality perceived by users of the mounted device transforming how content is visualized and consumed. Kudos to all the people who were involved in preparation and subsequent sucess of this high profile event.
