Dr. Kaisar Awarded Educator of the Year at WTS South Florida Scholarships & Awards Gala

The WTS South Florida Scholarships & Awards Gala is the chapter’s largest annual event, celebrating the achievements of women and allies in the transportation industry across Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. This year’s gala was hosted at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina Conference Center and brought together an audience from academia, federal and state agencies, and the transportation profession. The event highlights professional excellence through awards presented to distinguished individuals in the field, while also supporting the academic advancement of deserving female students through scholarships.

At this year’s gala, FMRI Director Dr. Evangelos I. Kaisar, Professor and Chair of the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geomatics Engineering at Florida Atlantic University, was honored with the Educator of the Year Award. The FMRI team, including faculty and staff, attended the event to celebrate Dr. Kaisar’s dedication and his significant contributions to advancing transportation education and workforce development in the region.
