Young Professional Best Paper Award

Congratulations to Masoud Jahandar Lashaki, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering department, for winning the “Young Professional Best Paper Award” at the Air & Waste Management Association's (A&WMA) 113th Annual Conference and Exhibition. 

The conference was initially going to take place in San Francisco; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was held virtually. Dr. Lashaki presented his paper, entitled "Larger Pore Size and Higher Intrawall Pore Volume of the Support Enhance the CO2 Adsorption Performance of Amine‐Tethered SBA‐15 Silica," as part of the "Air Pollution Control Technologies I" virtual session. The A&WMA's Technical Council selected his paper to receive the Young Professional Best Paper Award in the Atmospheric Processes and Measurement (Air) Group. This award is presented to scientifically meritorious papers where the first/presenting author is an environmental professional under the age of 35.
