To support and enhance environmental research and collaboration the school of Environmental, Coastal and Ocean Sustainability (ECOS) is pleased to announce the ECOS environmental research enhancement grants.
Walter & Lalita Janke Foundation Innovations in Sustainability Science Research Fund
Supports research proposals that will enhance existing energy technologies and support the early development of promising new energy concepts and applications. The funding is intended to enable proposing individual or multidisciplinary collaborations to engage in proof-of-concept designs, preliminary studies, infrastructure building, and/or other research activities that will set the foundation for follow-on competitive grant applications, and to generate high‐quality, publishable scientific papers.

WLW-ECOS Travel Grant
This program has ended and is no longer accepting applications.
Grants of up to $2,000 per person will be awarded to help offset expenses associated with travel to present research at scientific conferences or to attend workshops for specialized training. Preferences will be given to proposal applications demonstrating financial need, and those requesting partial funding. Applications must be from ECOS affiliated faculty or member of their lab (post-doc or graduate/undergraduate student).
