  YOU MUST KNOW THIS LOGIN/PASSWORD WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON TEST DAY TO BE ABLE TO TEST. 
  
  
• You must use your FAU email address in registration. If your Certiport account is not associated with an FAU email, you will not be able to purchase the exam at a discounted price at FAU Testing Centers or receive the link if you are testing remotely.

You may take the MOS Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps) Certiport exam at an FAU Testing Center (Boca and Davie) or remotely.  All Tests are proctored in Eastern Standard Time Zone.

• Choose the FAU campus where you want to take your exam or the remote registration option.
  
  
• You will be taken to the registration website, where you will select "MOS EXCEL for COB Students” to schedule your appointment date and pay the $39.50 fee for first-time test takers, $59.50 for the remote option, or $29.50 for retakes.
  
  
• All payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be rescheduled without a fee.
  
  
• You must use your FAU email when creating a profile to schedule your exam. (The scheduling profile is in addition to your Certiport profile in STEP 1). The spelling of your name must match your OWL Card exactly.  During registration, put in your course CRN number in the requested field, or your instructor may not receive your score information.
  
  
• WAIT PERIOD - If you do not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time and wish to take it again, you must wait 24 hours from the completion time of your previous attempt before retaking the exam. A two-day waiting period will be imposed for each subsequent exam retake.  There are no exceptions to this waiting period.
  
  
• Smart glasses (e.g., Meta Glasses, Google Glass), prescription or otherwise, are not allowed in the testing center. All eyewear will be visually inspected at check-in. Bringing prohibited devices into the testing center will result in dismissal, score invalidation, and notification to appropriate authorities. Thank you for helping us maintain a secure testing environment.
  
  
• Know what to expect before the exam

When taking the exam at your scheduled time, follow the instructions in the confirmation email and the following steps:

1. Launch the exam link in the confirmation email (on Chrome browser), sent 24 to 48 hours prior to your testing date, no earlier than 5 minutes before your start time, to download the “virtual machine” testing software.  (Do not be late; you will not be admitted to the testing session if you are not successfully logged in within 30 minutes of your scheduled start time.) Tests are administered in Eastern Standard Time Zone.
   
   
2. The proctor will initiate the testing session 5 minutes before your start time and will guide you through the process via a chat window. 
   
   
3. Make sure you read through the tutorial and follow the proctor's instructions carefully.  (Be patient and DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING OTHER THAN INSTRUCTED BY THE PROCTOR.)
   
   
4. Once the exam starts, you will have 50 minutes to complete the exam.
   
   

If you encounter a technical issue, the FAU proctor will assist you via chat. Please do not contact the Testing Center by phone or email.  In the event that the issue is not resolved within 30 minutes of your scheduled start time, the exam will need to be rescheduled.
