Immunization Compliance

Pursuant to Florida Board of Governors Regulation 6.001(9), prior to registration, each student accepted for admission at Florida Atlantic University must submit immunization documents to demonstrate compliance.  Florida Atlantic University requires documented proof of immunizations to Measles and Rubella. In addition, pursuant to Florida Board of Governors Regulations 6.007, effective July 1, 2008, all new matriculating students must also provide documentation of vaccinations against Meningococcal Meningitis and Hepatitis B or provide a signed waiver for each declined vaccination.

FAU has partnered with Med+Proctor to verify student immunization records.

  • Graduate and Non-Degree Students: Please log into Med+Proctor directly to provide your proof of immunization.
  • Questions about compliance and record collection should be directed to Med+Proctor. For questions about your immunization holds or other FAU related matters, please contact Student Health Services.

Immunization Records

You may be able to obtain your immunization records from:

  • A previous university
  • Your pediatric doctor
  • Copies of other official immunization documentation (e.g., Florida Certification of Immunization, immunization booklet, Florida high school transcripts)
  • NOTE: You are required to submit all forms through the Med+Proctor service accessible on the OwlDone portal.

FAU is aware of the challenges students may be experiencing in obtaining immunizations in light of the current pandemic novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Student Health Services (SHS) will still be adherent to the University’s policies and procedures regarding immunizations, but will provide an extension to meet compliance to allow for class registration until students return to campus in order to accommodate for the difficulties families may be currently encountering in obtaining immunizations. If you are experiencing challenges obtaining records for required immunizations and/or blood tests due to the unprecedented health crisis, please contact our office at 561-297-3512. Our goal is to assist you and provide as much flexibility as we can during this time.
