Art of Science: Conveying Concepts Creatively

Georgios Sklivanitis, Ph.D., joins the ranks again as a juror of the Art of Science photography and videography contest where faculty, staff and students present their research, scholarship or creative activity through art.
Sklivanitis is an associate research professor in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. He is also one of the founding members of the Florida Atlantic University Center for Connected Autonomy and AI and a faculty fellow in the Institute for Sensing and Embedded Network Systems Engineering. His research focuses on wireless communication systems, wireless networks and the application artificial intelligence and machine learning to connected autonomous systems.
"They say that a picture is worth a thousand words," Sklivanitis said. "Photography can help abstract and convey complex science and research concepts in a creative way."
