The Office of the Vice President for Research issues notices to the FAU community to provide faculty and staff the latest updates on regulatory or policy changes and/or issues related to research at FAU that may impact their work. This page is updated when new notices go out. Please discuss with your dean or associate dean for research any topics you feel may need the attention of the VPR.

In 2019, the U.S. Congress passed the National Defense Authorization Act that prohibits the use of certain telecommunication and video surveillance services or equipment by government agencies. All FAU personnel and and equipment must comply with the act, even if it's unrelated to a federal contract or grant.
