Medical Student Research
There are a variety of research and other scholarly activities students may participate in throughout their four years of medical school. We encourage all students to get involved in these activities under the mentorship of COM faculty. Students should plan regular meetings with their mentor to ensure clear expectations and responsibilities whether they are participating in some or all of the project (i.e. protocol development, regulatory approvals, data collection, data analysis, dissemination).
Many students will disseminate their research through publication and presentations. We encourage our students to be familiar with published authorship guidelines, citing accurate institutional affiliation(s) and using the current COM poster and slide templates. Please review our frequently asked questions section.
