OUTRIGHT GIFTS

Gifts of cash are the simplest and most commonly received charitable contributions. Cash gifts may be used to honor or memorialize someone.

Gifts of Appreciated Property, including securities and real estate, are popular with individuals seeking to manage capital gains taxes on appreciated assets with a market value well beyond the original purchase price.

Gifts-in-Kind of Tangible Personal Property such as library collections, works of art, historical items, computers, scientific equipment, and other items can be of great educational value to the College.

Matching Gifts are made by hundreds of corporations nationwide when their employees, retirees, board members and even these individuals spouses contribute to charitable organizations.

When a contributor is interested in specific strategies for tax and estate planning, planned gifts to The Honors College provide many opportunities to accomplish personal goals while assisting the College in a substantial way.
