Hello! My name is Chloe Castle, and I am originally from Michigan. I am pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science here at FAU. I hope to use my degree to become a software developer or a software engineer. I am very grateful to be a part of this program, and I can not wait to see what opportunities stem from it!

Hello, my name is Elijah Alvarez. As of writing this I am a rising sophomore studying for my BA in Computer Science at FAU. My goals with this program are to improve my critical thinking skills, and to make a change in the world for the better with the power of computers and technology. I am greatly honored to be invited to this program, and am excited to see what lies ahead.

 

 

Chloe Castle Felicia Phan

Hello! My name is Felicia Phan and I am from Calgary, Canada. I am a freshman pursuing a major in Data Science and Analytics, as it combines my interests in math, coding, and business. My goal in the future is to work with big data and then eventually go into quantitative trading. A fun fact about me is that I play competitive tennis! I am very grateful to be a member of the program and am excited to see how this program can assist my learning and further my interests in the data science field.

My name is Kini Rempart, and I am majoring in Computer Science. I enjoy programming and computer networking, and plan to work in that career field in the future. I am grateful for the Soar in 4 Scholars program and look forward to the opportunities it will provide.

 

 

Nylah D Nylah Deve

I am a computer engineering student with a strong interest in hardware engineering and a long-term goal of working in the field of electric vehicle (EV) engineering. I’m especially focused on the design and optimization of embedded systems, circuit architecture, and power electronics that support next-generation technologies.

My work in digital circuit design, combined with my ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, equips me to tackle real-world engineering challenges. Whether optimizing embedded systems or improving software, I thrive on problem-solving and precision. As I progress through my academic journey, I’m building hands-on experience with tools and concepts that bridge theoretical knowledge and practical application. I am driven by a passion for innovation, sustainability, and the potential of hardware to shape the future of mobility and energy efficiency.

My name is Pamela, and I am an undergraduate researcher doing in data analytics on Alzheimer’s disease. On campus, I am actively involved in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I am passionate about pursuing a career in data science to drive meaningful insights and make an impact in tech and beyond.

 

 

Shelly A Shelly Abramov

My name is Shelly, and I am a student at FAU pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. I have a strong interest in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence. So far, my academic journey has helped me grow and strengthen my problem-solving and critical thinking skills, especially through programming in languages such as Python and C++.

I enjoy tackling challenges and continuously working toward progress and improvement. Outside the classroom, I’m actively involved in several campus organizations and clubs, including Girls Who Code, where I serve as the Event Coordinator, and WIECS (Women in Engineering and Computer Science). These communities have allowed me to grow both professionally and as a leader.

Hello, my name is Tegan Dowd. I’m currently a Computer Science student at Florida Atlantic University, planning to pursue a minor in Cybersecurity. My ultimate goal is to build a career in the cybersecurity field, driven by my passion for ethical hacking, coding, and problem-solving. Valerie Fils-Aime is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University High School who is pursuing her Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with an English minor at Florida Atlantic University. Hi, I'm Ahmet Ege Aytac, a Computer Science student, proud to be part of Engineering SOARS. I'm passionate about data science, machine learning, and problem-solving. I'm always excited for new opportunities, ready to work on real-world projects, learn across different fields, and discover innovative solutions. Outside of academics, I enjoy windsurfing, where I feel the most alive and connected to myself.

My name is Dossell Sinclair. I am a Sophomore at Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Cybersecurity. I am in love with all things Computer Science. However, I am particularly interested in AI and Cybersecurity. I want to create my own Cybersecurity company and make a wave in the technology industry. My name is Laith Hilo, and I'm a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering. I am passionate about engineering and design. My mathematics, science, and engineering coursework has enabled me to engage in diverse projects, strengthening my problem-solving skills and technical expertise. I conduct research at the Biorobotics Lab and participate in engineering organizations. Through these experiences, I am building a solid foundation in engineering principles while preparing to contribute meaningful advancements to the field. With a forward-thinking mindset, I aim to develop practical solutions that elevate industry standards.

My name is Ana-Maria Briscan and I am in my third year studying Mechanical Engineering with a certificate in Aerospace Engineering. I am interested in human space exploration with a focus on exploration destination systems. Professionally, I aspire to be an astronautical engineer working at prestige companies such as Sierra Space or NASA, contributing to the Artemis Mission."
