Soar-In-4 Scholars
This is a unique and highly customized program that provides participants with professional hands-on support and personalized attention as students advance towards their Bachelor's degree within four years of their initial freshman enrollment.
By offering this program, we intend to foster a very supportive and collaborative environment that will enhance your success at FAU and beyond.
As a participant of the Soar in 4 Scholars Program, you will enjoy the following benefits:
- Advanced Course Registration: You will be able to register for all your courses for each term in advance of regular course registrations, guaranteeing you a seat in courses that often reach course capacity quickly.
- A Comprehensive Student Success Team: Comprised of an Academic Advisor, Career Counselor, Financial Aid Counselor, and Pre-Health Advisor (if applicable). This team will work collaboratively to assist you with navigating your academic plan of study, career aspirations, and student account.
- Professionals Networking Events and Showcase: Personalized invitations each semester to network with a variety of industry companies and various other professionals to discuss career experiences, shadowing, and research opportunities.
- Research Experience Opportunities Workshops: Learn about research opportunities, fellowships, summer programs, and research grants currently available with FAU, Florida, in the United States, and abroad.
- Semester Career Counselor Meetings: To clarify your career goals, explore career options, or evaluate occupational settings. Additionally, create or polish your resume and cover letter, create a LinkedIn Profile, and search for jobs and internships.
- Invitations to Special Events and Opportunities: Specialized social and networking events with College of Engineering & CS Dean and Faculty. Throughout the year, you will receive direct emails to notify you of special events and opportunities extended to Soar-in-4 Scholars.
- Campus Engagement: There will be experiential opportunities provided to Soar-in-4 students through the Council of Student Organizations (COSO).
Upon successful completion of the program a graduation cord and certificate will be awarded to each scholar.
