Motorized Truck Bed Relocation Device

Abstract

The Motorized Truck Bed Relocation Device is a remotely operated machine designed to facilitate the movement of large commercial truck beds around the warehouse as they are transferred from one department to the next during the fabrication process. The objective of this machine is to reduce the number of workers required to abandon their posts to push the carts and beds around the warehouse. The relocation device consists of a detachable frame with two powered wheels and a stabilizing caster wheel capable of connecting to and being controlled by a remote control IOS app. The user will be able to remotely input throttle and directional data through an IOS device to steer the machine around the warehouse moving the attached cart and truck bed between desired locations. The machine moves with the help of ultrasonic sensors to detect objects in its path and circuit monitoring sensors, the motorized warehouse relocation device will serve to reduce the workplace injury during relocation and maximize the overall efficiency of the warehouse. The remote-controlled relocation device will help significantly with warehouse operations, reducing the man power used for a simple task as well as reducing the risk of injury. This will ultimately increase efficiency and decrease costs associated with daily operations.  With minimal modifications, the device can be implemented in various settings.
